Second class room 10 are learning about spring!
Great week in St Fiacc’s N.S celebrating Catholic School’s Week and Pope Francis’ message to care for our Common Home. Thanks to Fr Dunphy for a lovely prayer service at Assembly today and we are hoping to see everybody at mass on Sunday @11.30.
Room 10 had great fun making St. Brigid’s crosses. Happy St. Brigid’s day!
We Sing a Song to Brigid
We sing a song to Brigid,
Brigid brings the spring
Awakens all the fields and the flowers
And calls the birds to sing.
Second Class room 10 had a wonderful day today. We learned so much about the past and how things have changed. Thanks to our very special Grandparent for coming to visit.
A Prayer for Grandparents
There’s a special kind of love that grandchildren have for their grandparents.
It’s filled with respect for their wisdom and accomplishments;
With gratitude for the values they’ve given us…
with delight in the stories of our family that they remember and share.
It’s a special kind of love that’s built on a lifetime of caring and giving.
It’s the kind of love that’s felt for you my dear grandparent, today and always.
Best of luck to Miss Moore and her u-11 and u-13 quiz teams who take part in the Carlow CU Quiz tomorrow night at 7.30.
Thanks to our fabulous caretaker, Pat, for putting up the beautiful crib in the lobby of the school.
I It’s been a great year so far with ICT in 6th class. All three classes are using the Maths programme, Mangahigh, creating projects and accessing the curriculum in a fun and interactive way using our laptop trolley. Looking forward more »
Today the boys and girls in Room 21 showed Miss Hennessy’s junior infants and Miss Nolan’s senior infants how to play their magnetic games. Each group created their own games last week and were looking forward to showing the infants their games.
Everyone had great fun and perhaps we’ll see some of these games on a toy shelf in the near future.
