Sixth Class

6th classes had a 7km nature trail this morning down the Barrow Track where we saw herons fishing, swans swimmig, learned about native trees and even sampled some blackberries that were out in all their glory! We hope to go again and to contrast the changes that we see with  different seasons.

Mr Nolan, Ms Minnock and Mr Bolton’s classes are busy with their Maths stations. This week we were using card games, place value games, target boards and we had great fun using the mobile interactive board.

Science Week has kicked off in 6th classes in St Fiacc’s. More fun, inquiry based experiments are lined up for later on in the week! Well done to all the students for their great ideas.

Mr Nolan, Ms Minnock and Mr Bolton’s classes were extremely busy making Christmas T-Shirts/ Jumpers over the past week. Well done to all the children for putting so much effort into the project. Here are just a few samples of the work that was done. Looking forward to seeing all of the finished T-Shirts being wore on Thursday!!

Well done to all our 6th class students that participated in the Rounders Blitz in Emo. All teams played very well and we had a great day out!!
