We were delighted to plant a beautiful Cherry Blossom tree for Bean Uí Cheallaigh today in our school grounds. We also named our school library in her honour. Fr Dunphy was on hand to bless the Bhean Uí Cheallaigh library along with Micheal and Stephen Kelly who officially unveiled the plaque . Thanks to our former principal, Ms Hayden, for coming in for the day along with past teachers Ms Phelan and Ms Sheehy also. Our school choir sang two beautiful songs including ‘ Bean Uí Cheallaigh’s Garden’ which was composed by Mr Kelly. The Banna Ceoil played beautiful music while our new Green Schools Flag was raised by Committee members. Well done to Ms Hogan and the Green School’s Committee for all their hard work this year. It was a real team effort from students and teachers and we are very proud of all the hard work that was put in by all today to make it such a special day.
