Proclamation for a New Generation
Irish boys and girls of St. Fiacc’s National School and residents of Ireland, this is our proclamation for a new generation in memory of the proclamation of 1916.
We wish for ‘green’ communities where there is no pollution and we keep our communities clean and safe for people and children to live in.
We believe that everyone, children and adults, deserve shelter, food, water and clothes. We believe that all people deserve the right to have a good education and to have the opportunity to get a good job in their community.
We feel that all people should have the opportunity to join different sports, clubs or groups in order to have a healthy life and to make friends in their own communities.
We value our freedom, our religion and our culture. We value agriculture and the food it gives us and other countries.
We hope for a free and peaceful country where we can grow up safely and have lots of fun.
We are proud of our freedom, our language, our culture and our rights for children. We hope for justice, co – operation and equal rights for all people and children, no matter where they come from or what they look like.
We hope for a country where there is pride in our nation. We hope for peace in our land and that our traditions keep going. We are proud of our religion and our culture and we hope that everyone feels free to practice their religion and feel safe in our country. We hope to welcome more people to our country. We hope for a happy, free country to live in.
