Yesterday we had a wonderful visit from the Garda Mounted Support Unit. We learned that policing on horseback is ideal for crowd control situations as the Gardai are several feet above the crowd and therefore enjoy a good vantage point.
Our pupils also got to enter a mobile Garda station which can act as a mini garda station at public events. Many thanks to Detective Peter McConnon for arranging the visit.
