Senior Infants celebrated World Book Day. We dressed up as some of our favourite characters from stories. Some of us brought our favourite book to school and shared it with the class.

First class were very lucky to receive six weeks of GAA coaching from Pat Timmons. The children learned a variety of GAA skills and had a brilliant time at each session.

First class are learning about capacity this week. We investigated how much water different containers can hold. Did you know it takes 28 egg cups of water to fill a jug?  

The children in First Class have enjoyed using iPads to help them learn and recall their number facts and tables. They are enjoying math games such as Eggy Number, Math Splat and Bingo.

We have been learning about 2-D shapes this week with Ms McCarthy. Today we made our own robots using 2D shapes.

We attended Carlow’s Tidy Towns Annual Prize Giving Night on Wednesday. We were delighted to receive Highly Commended in the Carlow School’s category again this year. Congratulations everyone!
