  Mr Kelly’s 5th class enjoying his interactive local History Tour today where they visited Carlow Castle, The Croppy Grave, Wellington Bridge, St Clare’s Church, The Poor Clare Monastery and Millennium Bridge. A great afternoon was had by all exploring more »

  The laptop trolley is getting great use in Mr Kelly and Ms Mullens classes this year. They are being used as a valuable tool in St Fiacc’s N.S to access all areas of the curriculum.

  Mr Shiel’s fifth class had a fantastic visit to the Carlow County Museum two weeks ago. Thanks to Dermot and the staff at Carlow County Museum for showing the students all about the history of our beautiful town.

  Sixth class students were busy this week making videos of Ms Walsh’s Senior Infants running.  Over the coming weeks they are going to teach key fundamental movement skills to help the children run more effectively in the future. We more »

St Fiacc’s N.S will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday 17th October, as advised by the Department of Education on account of Storm Ophelia.

This Sunday at 4pm Fr Dunphy will have a special blessing for all our students’ pets outside the Parish Centre to mark the Feast of St Francis. Hope to see you all there (with your pets!)

The boys team lost narrowly to Portlaoise on Tuesday .We are hoping for a better outcome on Wednesday at 12.30 when we take on Killeshin in the club grounds. We are training again on Monday. Best of luck boys!

6th class donated three cheques to charity yesterday in school and at the Graduation Ceremony. €1025 was donated to Diabetes Ireland. €602 was donated to the Evergreen Senior Citizen Association in the Parish. €500 was donated to a primary school more »
