After many months of training the boys’ hurling team played Bishop Foley in a practice match on our school pitch. The boys acquitted themselves well and look forward to the league after Easter.
Well done to one of our quiz teams that qualified for Round Two next week. The quiz was hosted by St Abban’s.

On March 3rd many of the pupils of St Fiacc’s dressed as their favourite fictional characters to mark World Book Day. Can you guess who they might be?
Last Friday, as part of Internet Safety Day, two sixth class teams debated the Motion The Internet is not suitable for children under 16. Both sides presented excellent arguments leaving the adjudicators with a difficult choice!

On Wednesday, February 5th we welcomed the Grandparents of St. Fiacc’s to our school as part of Catholic Schools Week. They shared many wonderful experiences with us of school long ago and passed some invaluable wisdom onto all of us!

On Friday, January 15th the Roinn 2 boys Co Laois Football champions were presented with their medals by Co Laois stars Ross Munnelly and Mark Timmons. We really appreciated the two footballers sharing their time and advice with us all.
